Another 'One Night Wander' Coach Tour, this time we enjoy the delights of the amazing Carnival in Aguilas with the comfort of a 4* hotel just 40km away, in Lorca.
The Aguilas Carnival is of International Tourist Interest and is the biggest and best in mainland Spain. We leave mid day on the Sunday and travel to the 4* Hotel Spa Jardines de Lorca. It is just 40km to Aguilas where the parade starts around 18:00 and continues all evening. It is a truly magical, mesmerizing and memorable evening as the hundreds of feather clad, sequinned adorned participants dance their way along the route to the intoxicating beat of the Carnival music. A fantastic atmosphere that is made so much more enjoyable by the short journey back to the hotel at the end of the evening. The next day, after a little lie in followed by a hotel breakfast we head back to Aguilas to get to know more about this popular tradition. A local guide gives us a behind the scenes introduction to the Carnival and what makes this one so special. Heading to nearby Mazarron for a sumptuous Menu del Dia we take in the local beauty spot of the Sand Sculptures of Bolnuevo before completing the journey home.
