The annual Moors and Christians Fiesta will take place in the town of Benissa from the 24th June to the 3rd July 2023. The fiesta honours tjhe Virgen del Rosario and commemorates the period of Moorish occupation which this region of Spain experienced from the 7th to the 14th century. There will be a Medieval Market, a Grand Moors and Christians Parade, the attacking and conquering of the castle first by the Moors then by the Christians as well as several musical performances.
