Elche CF won their first fixture of the season last week! On Sunday 19th February at 14:00 the Franjiverdes will face Espanyol at home. The sounds of the Carnival start this weekend with many fabulous parades to look forward too! The first one to be enjoyed will be in Torrevieja on Sunday at 16:00, but there are others later in February already on the Calendar of Events, so you can plan ahead. Another firm February favourite is the Almond Blossom in Alcalali, where there are 2 organised walking routes and an Almond Sweet and Pastry Competition this weekend. Meat lovers will want to travel south to Alhambra de Murcia for their 11th Matanza Fair which exclusively features meat products! If you have a sweet tooth, then the 2nd Cake and Coffee Tapas Route in Torrevieja next week is for you!
