Rojales Fiesta Virgen del Rosario
The annual fiesta in honour of the patron saint, the Virgen del Rosario, will take place in Rojales from Sunday 17th September to Sunday 29th October 2023. The fiesta includes a mix of religious acts, parades, concerts, a flower offering and a firework display. The full programme is in the brochure below in English on pages 13-19 and the highlights are:
Saturday 7th October
Giants and Big Heads Parade around the town all day accompanied by the dulzaina (little clarinets) and drums
10:00 Santa Cecilia Music Band Parade through the streets of Rojales
10:30 Children's games in the Malecon del Soto
19:00 Mass in honour of the Virgen del Rosario, sung by the choir Voces Amigas from Rojales, with the attendance of Authorities and the Fiesta Queens
20:00 Solemn Procession with the statue of the Virgen del Rosario accompanied by the Music Band through the streets of the town, followed by a magnificent firework display
21:00 Fancy Dress Carnival parade, starting at the Centro Salud then along Cortes Valencianas, Valentin Fuster, F. Serrano, Puente Carlos III, San Antonio, Plaza de Espana, Rafael Araez, Orihuela, Punte Renia Sofia ending at the Malecon del Soto
Monday 9th October
10:30 Children's games in the Malecon del Soto
18:15 Music Band Parade through the streets of Rojales starting from the Town Hall
18:30 Ribbon Races in the Malecon del Soto
