The town of Dolores will be celebrating their annual fiesta in honour of the patron saint, the Virgen de los Dolores from the 9th to the 19th September 2023. Many events have been planned including; ringing of the church bells and firecrackers, music bands competition, flower offerings, street decorating competitions, traditional games, fancy dress parade, partying in the barraca and fireworks! 11:00 Chpinazo (cnfetti filled fireworks) for the opening of the Fiesta in the Plaza General Llopis

 

 

12:30 Prize giving for the best Decorated Streets accompanied by the music band.

21:00 Flower Offering Parade starting from Avenida Principe de Asturias

 

Saturday 16th September
11:30 Water Festival

20:30 Fancy Dress Parade. Route: Avenida Principe de Asturias’ Avenue, along Calle Labradores, Plaza Cardenal Belluga, Plaza General Llopis, Calle Manresa, Calle Miguel Hernandez, Calle La Iglesia finishing in Calle La Unión.

 

12:00 Parade of the Music Band through the streets followed by Mascleta in Avenue Alcalde Jose Rodriguez.

19:00 Solemn Procession with the statue of the Virgen de los Dolores along the usual route, followed by a magnificent firework display.
23:30 Concert in the Plaza Cardenal Belluga, followed by partying at the barraca.

15:00 Paella Contest at the Sports centre

21:00 Concert by the Unión Musical de Dolores & Closing Ceremony in the Plaza Cardenal Belluga
