Benijofar will be honouring their Patron Saint, San Jamie also known as Santiago Apostol, from the 14th to the 26th July 2023. There will be parades of the fiesta queens, music bands and the big heads as well as the international gastronomy day, mad car race, a sevilanas party, hot potato supper, bell ringing and of course fireworks!

Friday 14th July
22:00 Election and Coronation of the Fiesta Queens and the presentation of the Standards in the Recinto Ferial

 

11:30 El Chupinazo coloured fire cracker to announce the start of the Fiesta from the Balcony of the Town Hall

20:00 11th Crazy Car Race where contestants steer their home made engine cars without engines along the downhill route, starting from Calle Pilar Miro, along Juan Ramon Jimenez, Pablo Picasso ending at the school playground.

 

14:00 Multi Cultural Gastronomic Day with tastings of traditional dishes in the Fiesta Ground

20:30 Traditional Carrera de Cintas (Ribbon Race) in the PLaza de las Verbenas

 

13:00 Bell ringing and fireworks.

18:30 Parade by the Town’s Band through Benimar

19:00 Flower Offering Parade accompannied by the Musical Union Society Band starting from the Town Hall

 

09:00 Antique cars, motorbikes and crazy car exhibition 

11:00 Parade by the Town Band through the streets

13:00 Bell ringing and fireworks.

21:15 Multi Coloured Fancy Dress Parade starting on Avda. Federico Garcia Lorca

 

09:00 & 13:00 Bell ringing and fireworks.

21:00 Solemn Procession in honour of the patron saint Santiago Apostol lead by the town officials, fiesta queens and town band, followed by a Grand Firework Display.

 

22:00 Traditional Potato Supper in the Fiesta Grounds, you bring your food and the town hall supplies the hot potatoes, tables must be reserved from 18:00 onwards.
