Next Thursday we will be enjoying the lively and vibrant sounds of the Cartagena Youth Symphony Orchestra and the accompanying 5 vocalists. The Free Guided Visits continue in Orihuela, all of which must be reserved in advance, this Friday you can join the Palaces Route and on Saturday learn all about the Ladies in Waiting of the Velazquez. The Nocturnal Eco Routes in the La Mata Natural Park can be booked for every Monday and Friday evening during July, and the series of Summer Nights continues every Thursday at the Rio Seco Nature Area in Pinar de Campoverde.
 
In Los Montesinos the Fiesta to celebrate 31 years of Independence draws to a close with a Parade and Boleros Concert on Friday and a Concert by the group V80 on Saturday.
 
There are still many Musical Events to enjoy. The 23rd International Jazz Festival finished on Sunday in San Javier, and the Guitar Festival also finishes on Saturday in Elche. There is a Band Concert on Friday in Alicante for their Summer Concerts Programme, and the Musica en la Mar evening Cruises leave every Thursday evening from the port in Cartagena. The renowned International Flamenco Festival will take place in La Union from the 29th July to the 7th August and will feature some of the worlds best performers. The Summer Concerts continue on the Esplanade in Playa Flamenca with Opera on Wednesdays and Band Concerts on Sundays. In Torre de la Horradada there will be a Tribute Pop Rock Concert on Saturday evening beside the Beach. It is the last of the Summer Concert in Almoradi with the Tribute to Manuel Carrasco on Saturday and Queen on Sunday. Hondon de los Frailes has the first of their Summer Concerts on Sunday, which will be preformed by Akka Brass, whilst there will be another Brass Concert in nearby Hondon de las Nieves on Tuesday 3rd August. On Saturday there is a Dance Show at the Castle in Santa Pola and a Classical Music Concert in San Fulgencio, to which you can take your tables, chairs and picnics and sit in groups of less than 10 people.
