The second of our 'One Night Wander' Coach Tours. A new series of small group tours where we spend one night not too far away, so we can really discover the local area. This is a brilliant coach tour where you visit a crystal lined cavern which is the largest accessible Geode in the world! We spend time getting to know about the mining which first began during Roman times, visiting the largest collection of Luminescent Minerals in Europe and going underground in to the Mina Rica where the Geode is. This amazing crystal cavern is encased in a rugby ball shaped cavity of 11 cubic meters which is 8 meters long and 2 meters wide. The finger nail thin 2 meters white gypsum crystals jut out at a jumble of angles from the walls. From our 4* Spa Juan Montiel Hotel on a half board basis there is time to explore Aguilas.

The EuroTourGuide Calendar of Events, has something for everyone this weekend including the International Tourist interest Fiesta in Cartagena.

In the Costa Blanca South there are free Guided Walks in both Orihuela and San Fulgencio this weekend. The Virgen de los Dolores will be celebrated in Dolores with a Water Festival and Fancy Dress Parade on Saturday and a Solemn Procession followed by a Firework Display on Sunday. It is the third and final weekend of the Fiesta in El Raso, Campo de Guardamar with a Multicoloured Fancy Dress Parade and Wine Fiesta on Saturday and a Charanga on Sunday. In the Costa Blanca North the inland town of Ibi will celebrating their Moors and Christians Fiesta with the Entrance Parade of the Christians at 11:00 and of the Moors at 17:30 on Friday and the Fiesta finishes on Monday with a traditional Firework display.

In the Costa Calida it is all happening in the City of Cartagena as the magnificent Romans & Carthaginians Fiesta starts on Friday. Every day a different part of the history of the battles between the Romans and Carthaginians is re-enacted. On Friday the Sacred Flame is lit, there is a March towards the Festival Camp, the City of Qart-Hadast is founded and Hannibal marries Himilce!
