Dolores Summer Fair and Fiesta
The town of Dolores will be enjoying their August Feria y Fiesta from the 3rd to the 7th August 2023. The organisers have put together a varied and packed programme for everyone to enjoy. The events include a concerts and shows, equestrian exhibition and the 27th National Animal and Livestock Fair.
Friday 4th August
08:00-14:00 & 17:00-22:00 Opening of the 27th Nacional Ganado (Cattle Market) and Equestrian Exhibitions at the Sports Centre
21:00 Farriers (Blacksmith) exhibiton at the Sports Centre
22:00 Switching on of the Fiesta Lights
22:00 Canine Exhibiton at the Football Stadium
Saturday 5th August
08:00-14:00 & 17:00-22:00 Opening of the 27th Nacional Ganado (Cattle Market) and Equestrian Exhibitions at the Sports Centre
20:00 Grand Final of the National Doma Vaquera Competition at the Recinto Ferial
20:00-22:00 Various Dog Exhibitions at the Football Stadium
23:00 Grand Horse Show by the Centro de Ecuestre Candido Pina at the Recino Ferial
Sunday 6th August
08:00-14:00 & 17:00-22:00 Opening of the 27th Nacional Ganado (Cattle Market) and Equestrian Exhibitions at the Sports Centre
10:00 Romeria with animals, horses and carriages along various streets, starting and finishing at the Recinto Ferial
19:30 Donkey Race
20:30 Grand Horse Show by the Club Hipico Yerbabuena at the Recino Ferial
22:00 Recortadores Competition - acrobatics around the bulls
Monday 7th August
08:00-14:00 & 17:00-22:00 Opening of the 27th Nacional Ganado (Cattle Market) and Equestrian Exhibitions at the Sports Centre
19:00-22:00 Cow Pat Competition in the Recinto Ferial – a field is divided into small grids for which tickets are available, the owner of the ticket for the grid in which the cow makes the first cow pat, wins the competition & 2,000€– tickets cost 2.50€ per square!
