Benissa Moors & Christians Fiesta
The annual Moors and Christians Fiesta will take place in the town of Benissa from the 24th June to the 3rd July 2023. The fiesta honours San Pedro, Benissa's Patron Saint and commemorates the period of Moorish occupation which this region of Spain experienced from the 7th to the 14th century. There will be the Grand Moors and Christians Parade, the attacking and conquering of the castle first by the Moors then by the Christians as well as several musical performances.
Saturday 24th June
23:00 Opening speeches and presentation of the Flags and Captains in the castle grounds followed by live music in the Plaza Jaume I.
20:00 Music Concert in the Plaza de la Iglesia Vieja
Friday 30th June
22:30 Moorish Siege of the Castle, Embassy and Conquest
Saturday 1st July
18:30 Children's Parade.
22:30 Christian Siege of the Castle, Embassy and Conquest
Sunday 2nd July
19:30 Parade of all the Music bands.
20:00 Grand Parade of the Moors and Christians from Calle València to the end of Calle Nou.

19:30 Parade of Music bands.
20:00 Humour Parade.
