Albatera Moors and Christians
The Moors and Christians Fiesta will take place in Albatera from the 14th to the 25th July 2023 in honour of Santiago Apóstol and the Virgen del Carmen. The full programme is in the brochure below in Spanish and the main events are:
Friday 14th July
21:30 Humour Parade of the Moors and Christians from Parque UM Aurora, finishing in the Parque Principe de Asturias
Saturday 15th July
22:00 Opening Speeches and Presentation of the Moors and Christians Flags in the Auditorium Santiago Quinto in the Parque de la Huerta
Sunday 16th July
21:00 Solemn Procession with the statue of the Virgen del Carmen followed by fireworks
Thursday 20th July
20:30 War by the Moors including Firing of the Blunderbus Guns and Mock Battle for the castle in the Plaza San Jaime
Friday 21st July
20:30 War by the Christians including Firing of the Blunderbus Guns and Mock Battle for the castle in the Plaza San Jaime
Saturday 22nd July
20:30 Entrance Parade of the Christians and Moors from Parque UM Aurora, finishing in the Parque Principe de Asturias
Tuesday 25th July
21:00 Solemn Procession with the statue of Santiago Apostol
23:45 Firework display
